To Help in Maryland

We are looking to partner with a few families who are open to serving refugee youth from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The children in this program were detained while attempting to enter the United States, possibly to reunify with a family member. Bethany is collaborating with other organizations to place the children in loving foster homes temporarily until they can be reunified with a family member or sponsor. The children will reside in the foster home between 2 weeks to 4 months and will be attending a school program from 8am to 3pm at the Bethany program site in Crofton, MD. Families will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from school for the children. Families do not need to be fluent in Spanish. The staff in this program are bi-cultural and bi-lingual. All families, who would like to serve alongside Bethany in bringing healing to these vulnerable children, will be trained, studied, and licensed as foster parents and will meet the state of Maryland foster parenting requirements. A daily board rate will be paid to the families to assist with the care of the children. The next information meeting for this program will be July 12, 2018 from 7pm to 9pm at 2142 Priest Bridge Ct. Ste 1 Crofton, MD 21114.
